Assassin's Creed film contest
For them in America. Curses.
Ubisoft and the Independent Film Channel (IFC) have launched a short-film contest to support the release of Assassin's Creed this November.
Sadly it's only open to those of you reading this from across the pond - if you are, you will want to know that you need to sign up on IFC's website and submit a six-minute-or-less film based on the game's themes within the next month.
If you create something the judges like, you could walk off with USD 10,000, an Xbox 360 and a copy of the game.
The rest of you will be able to check out how the winner's done by picking up the Limited Edition of the game, which will include the winning film. It will also be shown on the IFC television network in November.
"Video games, like films, have the ability to tell rich and dynamic stories and the partnership with IFC for the Assassin's Creed short film contest is a way for Ubisoft to show its appreciation to the art," said Tony Key, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft.
"We're excited to see what people bring to the table; I have a feeling we won’t be disappointed."
