Assassin's Creed: Unity's RPG-like customisation and skill upgrades revealed
Gear of war.
Ubisoft has released a trailer showing off the extensive new customisation options available in Assassin's Creed: Unity.
The game's version of a skill tree allows you to tailor your version of hero Arno Dorian in four major categories - Melee, Stealth, Health and Ranged Weaponry - with bonuses for both regular and co-operative play.
Some of the upgrade options on offer are familiar - smoke bombs and money bombs, for example. But many others are new, such as the Assassin Cache skill, which allows you to create a chest full of consumables for you and your fellow players.
Gear items - of which there are hundreds - change both your abilities and your physical appearance. Wear a larger, more "low-profile" hood and you'll go unnoticed for longer. But most items come with a trade-off. For example, heavier armour can offer you a higher defense stat, but this may come at the cost of reduced speed.
Passive multiplayer skills exist too - including one that temporarily disguises you and your fellow players, one that heals your party, and one that shares your Eagle Vision.
