Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise is coming to the Wii U eShop next week
We got the beat!
Acclaimed Wii rhythm game Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise is coming to the Wii U eShop on 24th November, Nintendo has announced.
The collage of over 50 music-based mini-games features both co-op and competitive modes, though the crux of the experience is its eclectic barrage of whimsical single-player vignettes.
The European version of Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise has the exclusive feature of allowing players to switch between the Japanese and English soundtracks. That helps make up for the delay, as North Americans received the game (called Rhythm Heaven Fever over there) on Wii U 10th November.
Eurogamer contributor Simon Parkin was a fan of Rhythm Paradise, which he awarded an 8/10 back in the numeric rating days of 2012.
"What elevates Rhythm Paradise is that, as in WarioWare, almost every mini-game enjoys a sense of unbridled creativity," he said in his Beat the Beat: Rhythm Paradise review. "It's playful, subversive, irreverent and, at times, impudent, revealing a darker, more left-field side to Nintendo that increasingly stays hidden. Let it out, we say. Let it out."
