Blizzard has announced plans for its second BlizzCon gaming convention today, which will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center on the 3rd and 4th of August.

Everyone from age four and up is invited along to celebrate the company's biggest and best franchises, enjoying a wide variety of different activities from dressing up to sound-alike contests.

Tickets are expected to go on sale on the official website in the next few months, and will cost you USD 100 per person.

Those of you attending will be able to take part in panel discussions with Blizzard developers, who will also be around signing various commemorative memorabilia that will be on sale. Casual and competitive tournaments will be held for both videogames and the new World of Warcraft trading card game, and there will be a live orchestral performance of music from the Diablo, Warcraft and StarCraft games.

A silent auction is also going to feature, and more activities are expected to be announced in the future.

"We were gratified by the response to our first BlizzCon in 2005 and have been looking for an opportunity to hold a follow-up event ever since," stated Mike Morhaime, president and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. "With BlizzCon 2007, we plan to deliver another entertaining and informative experience for the attendees, and we look forward to meeting all of them again this year."
