UPDATE 10/6/15 3.00pm: Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons publisher 505 Games has now confirmed the previously-leaked news that the game is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Look for the new versions at some point "this summer".
A director's commentary mode, soundtrack and concept art gallery options will also be included.
Today's announcement also brings word of iOS, Android and Windows Phone versions, which will follow on "this holiday season".
ORIGINAL STORY 2/6/15 3.00pm: Emotional sibling survival story Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons will get new PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions.
That's according to a new German classification board listing for the versions, which have yet to be announced by publisher 505 Games (thanks, Lifelower).
Brothers lets you simultaneously control two siblings as they journey through a fantasy landscape.
The puzzles and gameplay are fairly simple, but the story told through the largely silent interaction between the two characters is one of the best in recent years.
If you haven't played it yet, Brothers comes highly-recommended:
"Brothers is a game of moments: moments of quiet beauty, moments of joyful levity, moments of cloying dread," Dan Whitehead wrote in Eurogamer's review.
"There's one moment that stands out above all the others, though. It's one of those moments, the ones you'll remember in years to come, a moment of revelation where you suddenly see how various threads of the game have woven together."
505 Games declined to comment when approached for more details.
