Capcom has announced that Age of Booty will be released on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC in the middle of October.

The XBLA version will launch on 15th October, followed by PSN a day later on the 16th, while the PC version will be released "shortly after" on Metaboli, Steam and other services.

Demos for the XBLA and PSN versions will be made available at the same time as the full versions, and a PC demo will follow when that version launches as well.

What's more, we're told that the game will cost USD 10 across the multiplatform board, which translates to 800 Microsoft Points in Xbox Live Arcade's case and, er, ten bucks in everyone else's.

The one remaining question is whether the PSN version will launch in Europe at the same time as it does in the US. Capcom PSN titles - and indeed those from other publishers - are often held up while they are translated into other European languages.

Capcom wasn't sure about the game's release date when we spoke to them about it earlier this week, but we'll re-check the PSN status this morning.

Age of Booty, formerly known as Plunder, is a piratical strategy game developed by Certain Affinity, the company founded by Max Hoberman and other Bungie veterans.
