Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 out in April
Brand new engine.
Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 comes out, probably, on 14th April 2015.
That's according to Polish indie developer Red Dot Studios, which, alongside publisher PlayWay, successfully crowd-funded the game via Kickstarter earlier this year, raising just shy of $23,000.
It's a follow-up to Car Mechanic Simulator 2014, which, apparently, has sold more than four million copies. Going by user reviews on Steam, players certainly seem to like it. This one's my favourite:
In CMS2015 you play a mechanic and have to repair cars for your clients. You build and expand your repair service along the way. There are 16 base car models, tools such as lacquer spray booth and dyno, and parts. You earn money which you spend on expansions and improving your skills. You can even buy junk cars to renovate and sell for a profit.
It sounds pretty detailed. There's a visual tuning feature which lets you replace bumpers, lights, wheels, a bonnet or the steering wheel, and fine-tune them. There's also a trendy photo mode, so you can do the before-and-after thing.
The video, below, gives us a good look at the game, although the music grates after a minute or two.
