Castle Crashers dev's next pushed to 2011
BattleBlock Theatre "like no other game."
Been waiting patiently to see what Castle Crashers developer The Behemoth has up its sleeve next? Well, you'll have to wait a little longer. Its follow-up, BattleBlock Theatre, has just been pushed back into 2011.
A post on its blog read, "Long story short, BattleBlock Theater is becoming so much more than we ever expected. It feels like no other game out there – there's a little more r&d than we thought and lots of new ground to break. This means we will not be releasing in 2010."
Not an awful lot is known about the impending Xbox Live Arcade title but if it's half as good as the awesome Castle Crashers it'll be worth the wait.
Earlier this year, The Behemoth described it as "a story about friendship, betrayal, and a whole truck load of cats". There's a bonkers but rather brilliant trailer, which you can check out below.
In other Behemoth news, the studio has just finished work on a Japanese version of Castle Crashers, which is due for release in the Land of the Rising Sun on 25th November on PlayStation Network.
It also announced that "over 2.2 million players have experienced the adventure of kissing princesses and beating each other up" since its side-scroller launched in 2008.
