COD4 is AIAS Game of the Year
As BioShock takes the most awards.
Activision's Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was selected as 2007's Game of the Year at the 11th annual Interactive Achievement Awards, GamesIndustry.biz reports.
The awards, hosted by actor/comedian Jay Mohr and presented at the 2008 D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas, are voted upon by members of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.
This year, the Academy presented Ken Kutaragi, creator of the PlayStation, with its Lifetime Achievement Award.
"Ken Kutaragi is the smartest guy in the history of the videogame business," said Trip Hawkins, founder of EA and himself an AIAS Hall of Fame member.
"Without Ken, there is no Sony PlayStation and that is beyond comprehension."
Blizzard co-founder and CEO Mike Morhaime was also honoured as the newest AIAS Hall of Fame Member.
