Dark Souls 3 NPC quests - what do before you finish the game

The final steps before you finally finish.

CHECKLIST: BEFORE DEFEATING THE SOUL OF CINDER BOSS

Once all four Lords of Cinder are defeated and returned to their thrones in the Firelink Shrine, you'll need to speak with the Fire Keeper in order to confront the game's final Soul of Cinder boss. Before placing the Lords on Cinder on their thrones, however, complete the following steps to wrap up the last few NPC quest lines successfully.

1. Meet Leonhard the Ringfinger at Rosaria's Bedchamber

Now that Sirris has served her purpose, it's safe to continue on with Leonhard's quest line. First, warp to Rosaria's Bedchamber in the Cathedral of the Deep and speak with Rosaria to join the Rosaria's Fingers covenant if you haven't done so already. Next, offer her the Pale Tongue you acquired earlier in the game. Finally, warp out of the area and back again.

When you return, Leonhard should be present in the chamber; speak with him to continue his quest line then warp away and back one more time. On arriving again, Rosaria will be dead, and a Black Eye Orb can be found at the foot of her bed. Grab the orb before continuing.

2. Visit Aldrich the Devourer's bonfire and use the Black Eye Orb

Next, warp to Aldrich the Devourer's bonfire in Anor Londo and use one of the two elevators at the back of the room to reach the upper level. Next, climb the steps and enter the large rear chamber. Finally, equip the Black Eye Orb and use it to invade Leonhard's world.

Defeating Leonhard will earn you the Silver Mask and Crescent Moon Sword. You'll also acquire the Soul of Rosaria, which can be used to purchase the Bountiful Sunlight miracle from Ludleth at the Firelink Shrine, or to reanimate Rosaria's corpse in her bedchamber. Note that you can still use Rosaria's covenant-related features, even if she's dead, meaning that there's little reason not to cash-in her soul. This brings Leonhard's quest to an end.

3. Say goodbye to Sirris of the Sunless Realms at Firelink Shrine

With Lothric, the Younger Prince, down for good, warp back to Firelink Shrine and return to Holy Knight Hodrick's grave. You'll now find Sirris' Sunless Talisman here, and her armour can be purchased from the shrine Handmaiden. This concludes Sirris' quest line.

4. Locate Orbeck of Vinheim's body at the Grand Archive

Provided that you followed Orbeck of Vinheim's relatively loose quest line - buying at least 15 spells and keeping him alive (despite Yuria's wishes) - you're free to warp to the Grand Archives and make your way to the upper level housing four candlestick sorcerers. You'll find Orbeck's corpse sat at a table here, and can now claim his ashes. If you like, you can give his ashes to Yuria of Londor in order to receive the Morion Blade.

5. Duel with Hawkwood the Deserter

Speak with Blacksmith Andre to receive Hawkwood's invitation to duel. Return to the Abyss Watchers boss room and defeat Hawkwood to acquire the Twinkling Dragon Head Stone. If you're killed during battle, Hawkwood will claim the stone and you'll need to defeat him to secure it.

CHECKLIST: BEFORE LIGHTING THE FINAL BONFIRE

1. Collecting Yuria's belongings from the Firelink Shrine (Anri 'dark' quest line only)

If you followed the route to reach Yuria of Londor's alternate ending, once the boss is defeated you're able to return to Firelink Shrine before triggering the final cutscene. If you do, you can find the Darkdrift sword and Yuria's Dark Set located in her usual position.
