Destiny 2 Exodus Siege and Lost Crew - how to find and defeat Elyksul, Assault Leader and the Vex Warden

Exodus Siege and Lost Crew are two of the first Adventures you'll unlock on Nessus in Destiny 2, and are available to play from the Nessus planet area soon after it's unlocked in your playthrough.

Here on this page, we'll give you a rundown of exactly how to unlock and then complete the two adventures, as well as a note of what rewards you can expect for doing so.

Before diving in though, note that for more of the same, and a general overview of how Adventures work, you can take a look at our Destiny 2 Adventures hub, with a list of various other Adventures and links to their respective guides, too.

Destiny 2 - Exodus Siege

Exodus Siege is one of the very first Adventures you'll gain access to, and can be found on the planet Nessus.

Prerequisites: Complete the missions Looped and Six.
Recommended power: 90.
Reward: Rare (blue) loot.

Here's what you need to do to complete the Exodus Siege and tackle Elyksul, Assault Leader:

  • Seek the Cloaked Scout - Head to the marked area.
  • Collect the Scout's Report - We found him skulking around to the left of the area, but he's very hard to spot
  • Get to the Exodus Black - Head to the waypoint.
  • Hold Against the Fallen Siege - Kill the Fallen lurking around the area until the counter hits 100%. There are a couple of bombs you can destroy for a quick boost to the percentage. (There's a Public Event that spawns in the same area which may complicate matters if you're unlucky with the timing.)
  • Follow the Fallen Signal - Follow the waypoints into the cave, use the teleporter, and keep following the waypoints.
  • Take Down the Shield - Destroy the Assault Servitor, collect the Arc Charge that it drops, and place it in the marked hole - you can't use your weapons when you're carrying the Charge, so it pays to thin out the Fallen in the area first.
  • Override the Generators - The same procedure, but there are two Arc Charges to grab - we'd recommend killing both Servitors before grabbing the Charges.
  • Kill the Fallen Commander - Elyksul, Assault Leader is your primary target, but we'd recommend dealing with as many of the smaller Fallen first, particularly the Servitor. He seems reluctant to stray from his end of the room, so if you're being overwhelmed you can retreat a short distance and he'll ignore you while you regroup.

The Season of the Deep is here alongside the Into the Depths quest. You can know go fishing too! Don't forget to keep an eye on the Lost Sector and King's Fall challenge rotation schedule!

Destiny 2 - Lost Crew

Lost Crew is a mid-level Adventure, and can also be found on the planet Nessus.

Prerequisites: Complete the missions Looped and Six.
Recommended power: 90
Reward: Rare (Blue) loot.

Here's what you need to do to complete the Lost Crew Adventure and tackle the Vex Warden

  • Collect Vex Data Chip - Head for the marker and kill the Vex in the area - the last one will drop the Chip.
  • Hack Conflux - Head for the marker and interact with the Conflux.
  • Defend the Conflux - Hold the position while the hack takes place - if any Vex get too close the process will pause so try and take them out as quickly as you can.
  • Follow the Vex Hologram - Follow the markers around the area.
  • Reach the Data Modules - This is a bit of a jumping puzzle - several of the platforms appear and disappear at regular intervals so you'll need to time your leaps to clear the gaps. There's no penalty for falling other than having to retrace your steps, and depending on your Mobility upgrade levels and what jumping abilities you have you may be able to just circumvent the puzzle aspect entirely.
  • Follow the Vex Hologram.
  • Destroy the Vex - he biggest challenge here is sheer numbers - avoid running in all guns blazing as you can quickly get swamped, and try and pick as many of the smaller Vex off from near the cave entrance. The large Vex Warden has a rotating shield that nothing can get through so you'll have to time your shots with the small gap.
  • Follow the Vex Hologram.
  • Destroy the Vex - The same strategy applies here.
  • Search the Chamber - Interact with the marker to complete the Adventure. (The metal ring nearby is one of the game's Scannable Objects.)

With that, you're all done! Head back to our hub for Destiny 2 Adventures if you're looking for more on these.

Otherwise, nicely done, Guardian.
