Calcified Fragment XLIII / 43 - End of Failed Timeline

This is unlocked by completing the Warpriest Challenge in the King's Fall Raid, which is only available once every three weeks, around the other Raid challenges. You can find out when the next encounter is with our Destiny event schedule.

What makes this different to the regular encounter is you cannot have the same person hold the aura more than once during the encounter. It requires a little more teamwork and planning than usual to make sure your party rotates roles, but with the right preparation it's very doable. (If you're struggling and need ways to increase your Light level, our page on how to reach max Light level in Destiny can help.)

Calcified Fragment XLIV / 44 - strict proof eternal

This is unlocked by completing the Golgoroth Challenge in the King's Fall Raid, which is only available once every three weeks, around the other Raid challenges. You can find out when the next encounter is with our Destiny event schedule.

What makes this different to the regular encounter is that all six players must capture his Gaze at the end of each round. There are a few ways of doing this, but it's best to line up three players on each side of the arena, and when the phase starts, one side at a time shoot him so the Gaze goes from one side of the room to the next. Also be aware that every round one player can be 'marked' with an on-screen countdown that, once at zero, will see them explode, injuring everyone around them (but not themselves). The marked players simply need to run away from the rest of the team to make sure they don't injure them.

Calcified Fragment XLV / 45 - I'd shut them all in cells.

This is unlocked by completing the Oryx Challenge in the King's Fall Raid, which is only available once every three weeks, around the other Raid challenges. You can find out when the next encounter is with our Destiny event schedule.

What makes this different to the regular encounter is detonating at least 16 bombs at once. This means that every round, make sure nothing or no one triggers the bombs in the corners. It means that players will have to encounter Shade of Oryx at the end of each round, making the whole encounter much more difficult. At the end of the fourth round, assuming all 16 bombs are left (if not, do more rounds) then detonate them all at once, and take down Oryx for good.

Calcified Fragment XLVI / 46 - The Gift Mast

This is received when you complete a Dreadnaught-based Strike - so Sunless Cell or Shield Brothers - when it is the Nightfall that week.

Calcified Fragment XLVII / 47 - Apocalypse Refrains

This is unlocked by defeating Tier 3 Court of Oryx boss Thalnok, which is only available once every three weeks, around the other Tier 3 encounters. You can find out when the next encounter is with our Destiny event schedule.

You can access this using an Antiquated Rune, earned from Tier 2 Court of Oryx encounters, the King's Fall Raid and as a Crota's Bane reputation drop, and must be powered by Tier 2 wins before it can be used. They're tough to get, but thankfully if you fail to complete the Tier 3 encounter you'll get the Rune back so you can use it again.

If you've played Crota's End, this is a homage to that Raid's end boss. In short, kill all the enemies and the swordbearer, taken down Thalnok's shield, and have someone with the sword attack Thalnok before the shield regenerates. Take his shield down again to allow for another shield attack, before the cycle starts over. Make sure you use the sword's special attack to get more damage in each round.

Calcified Fragment XLVIII / 48 - aiat, aiat, aiat, aiat, aiat

This is unlocked by defeating Tier 3 Court of Oryx boss Balwûr, which is only available once every three weeks, around the other Tier 3 encounters.

The floor here is poisonous, so stay underneath the arena and wait until you can see and kill an acolytes, allowing you to stand safely and begin firing upon Balwûr.

You'll need to play plenty Court of Oryx to get each Tier 3 Fragment.

Calcified Fragment XLIX / 49 - Forever And A Blade

This is unlocked by defeating Tier 3 Court of Oryx boss Kagoor, which is only available once every three weeks, around the other Tier 3 encounters.

Stand at the back of the arena behind cover, since the Court is filled with enemies. Kagoor will take damage when the Ogre is down, so kill every other enemy, including the Maleficent Eyes which buff you to create extra Ogre damage, before turning your attention to Kagoor.

Calcified Fragment L / 50 / Wormfood

Fight in the Court of Oryx until you're given a special Dreadnaught Bounty as a reward. This will start a chain of Bounties that you have to complete one after another, whether it's killing down Taken or a Court of Oryx encounter in a specific way. Once you've done all three steps, the Fragment is your reward.
