Dicebreaker, our new tabletop gaming sister site, is live!

Who says we're trying to monopolise your attention?

You might remember when, a few months ago, Eurogamer video stalwart Johnny Chiodini unpardonably left us to start the video arm of Dicebreaker - a new hub for all things tabletop gaming.

At the time, we promised you a website too, and here it is: behold Dicebreaker.com.

As Eurogamer is to video games, so Dicebreaker will be to tabletop. That's the hope, anyway. By tabletop, we mean board games, of course, as well as pen-and-paper role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons and trading card games like Magic: The Gathering.

We've long had a huge enthusiasm for tabletop in the company - as you may know if you've followed Outside Xbox and Xtra's exploits in the Oxventure, DM'd by Johnny. And we were recently acquired by ReedPop, which has a huge tabletop gaming presence at its PAX gaming shows, including the tabletop-exclusive PAX Unplugged which is - here's a coincidence! - taking place this weekend in Philadelphia. So putting together a world-class website and video channel dedicated to tabletop gaming was something of a no-brainer for us.

The Dicebreaker team!

Dicebreaker is staffed by former Tabletop Gaming Magazine editor Matt Jarvis, as editor-in-chief, along with writers Alex Meehan and Sara Elsam. Johnny is joined on the video side by Michael "Wheels" Whelan and Alex Lolies. That's as much Alex as anyone can handle.

Read Matt's welcome post or take your pick from this sampling menu to get a feel for what you can expect from the site:

Or just head over to the site and have a browse - there's a ton of stuff to read there already.

The Dicebreaker team also curates a weekly column of tabletop picks on Eurogamer: Dicebreaker Recommends, running every Wednesday.

We think this is one of the most exciting projects we've launched in a long time, so we really hope you like it!
