If you've been looking to upgrade the storage on your PC, today's your lucky day. Thanks to an amazing deal on the Crucial P2, you can breathe a new life in your PC without having to spend a lot.
The Crucial P2 is a 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0 SSD. Normally, you'd be looking at spending around £108 on this drive but thanks to this Black Friday deal, you can grab it for just £61.97, which is one of the lowest prices we have ever seen for this drive. In fact, bar a few days when the P2 was offered at £59.99, this is the cheapest price we've ever seen on an SSD of this speed and capacity!
Just to make the deal even sweeter, Amazon is also throwing in a 66 percent off discount coupon for a 3-month Xbox Game Pass for PC membership. The discount coupon will be emailed to you once you finish purchasing the SSD or other gaming peripherals on Amazon during the Black Friday sale.
The Crucial P2 is a basic but fast SSD, with sequential read speeds of up to 2400MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 1800MB/s. While not the fastest, these speeds are still significantly faster than what you can get with standard 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, which top out at around 550MB/s. These speeds are enabled due to the combination of the faster M.2 NVMe interface and a souped-up controller. To get something significantly better, you'd need a PCIe 4.0 SSD, which cost nearly double the price!
With this SSD, you can significantly improve several aspects of your computer's performance. When used as a boot disk, the Crucial P2 can significantly improve boot times compared to a regular hard drive. You can also use it to install your programs and games to boost load times - we found game load times dropped by around 55 percent in tests we did in 2018.
