DJ Hero signs Daft Punk
French maestros mix 11, exclusively.
Activision has announced that renowned French duo Daft Punk will make their videogame debut in DJ Hero this November, and bring 11 exclusive mixes to the table.
They'll bop along wearing their signature robot helmets as they mesh their tracks with some of the biggest anthems around.
Those include "Da Funk" vs. Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust", "Technologic" vs. Gary Numan's "Cars" and "Around the World" vs. Younc MC's "Bust A Move".
"Da Funk" also gets mixed with NASA's "Strange Enough ft. Karen O, ODB and Fatlip", while "Robot Rock" is intertwined with both Hashim's "Al-Naafiysh (The Soul)" and Queen's "We Will Rock You".
Finally, "Short Circuit" goes up against Boogie Down Productions' "Jack of Spades", and "Television Rules The Nation" takes on No Doubt's "Hella Good".
It's further proof that Activision is throwing everything behind DJ Hero, after wowing E3 attendees with a lavish party starring no less than Eminem, Jay-Z and Warren G.
Joining Daft Punk on the roster are the likes of Scratch Perverts, DJ Yoda, DJ Shadow, Jazzy Jeff and more.
Controversially, Activision has set £109.99 as the SRP for the game-plus-turntable bundle, which launches here sometime this autumn. When, exactly, we're checking with Activision.
With Guitar Hero 5 at the top of the UK all-formats chart and Modern Warfare 2 up its sleeve, Activision looks set to make a bob or two this Christmas.
