Don't expect Batman Arkham studio Rocksteady at E3
"Hard at work on our next big project."
Batman Arkham developer Rocksteady will, once again, skip E3.
The London-based studio has been absent from the show for several years now, while it quietly works on a follow-up to its top-rated Arkham games.
Letting fans down gently, creative director Sefton Hill took to Twitter last night to answer whether his squad would be there:
"Hi all! A number of you have asked so we wanted to let you all know up front that @Rocksteadygames won't be showing at E3 this year," Sefton wrote. "We'll be watching as fans but remaining in London, hard at work on our next big project. Enjoy the show!"
It's been three years since Batman: Arkham Knight concluded the studio's own Dark Knight trilogy of top rated titles, following Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.
(Sorry, Arkham Oranges.)
What is Rocksteady up to next? It feels like we're still in for a long wait - until we're closer to the launch of next-gen consoles - to hear publicly.
