Doodle Hex revealed
Scribble your victories.
Spanish developer Tragnarion Studios will reward scribblers in its new DS game Doodle Hex.
The idea is to rattle-off magical runes on the touch screen faster than your opponent, unleashing all sorts of fun spells before they can say "this is lots like Harry Potter I want you to stop".
You'll have to be both accurate and tactical, picking from an arsenal that can shake their screens, reflect incoming spells or even turn them into frogs.
There will be around 200 runes to collect or share with your friends using Wi-Fi, and it's all wrapped up in a cartoon and comic-inspired package.
"Like classic fighting and puzzle games, Doodle Hex offers a rewarding single player experience and the fun increases massively when duelling against other people," said Carl Jones, Tragnarion Studios boss.
"We're delighted with how Doodle Hex is coming together - the game looks fantastic on the DS, is really addictive, and the work our team has done on the characters and art style is amazing."
Doodle Hex will be on show in Leipzig this week, or you can pop over to the official site for a look at the first artwork and information.
Doodle Hex is due for release on DS in the first quarter of 2008.
