Dragon Age The Veilguard In Memoriam walkthrough
How to complete the In Memoriam side quest in Minrathous.
In Memoriam in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a side quest you can pick up in Dock Town in Minrathous. This quest tasks you with becoming a detective to help the spirit of Compassion bring peace to victims of a brutal murdering spree.
However, as with most things in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, this isn't a simple affair as demons will stand between you and solving the murders. Don't let that stop you, you're Rook and you've got a job to do.
Without further ado, here's how to complete In Memoriam in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Dragon Age The Veilguard In Memoriam walkthrough
To start In Memoriam head to Razikale Walk in Dock Town and you'll find a body with a sword through it on the ground. We've marked the location on the map below for you:
Interact with the body to investigate it and several demons will appear, one of them will be Despondance and they're a bit stronger than the rest. Fight these off and the spirit of Compassion will appear by the body.
Speak to Compassion to learn this is one of three demonic murders around Dock Town and, being helpful like you are, you decide to investigate them and find out who the victims were.
Murder one - Bridge murder
To find the who the first murder victim is (as you've already found their body), head up the small stairs behind where you met Compassion and then follow the blood trail on the ground. It will lead you up a set of stairs to your left.
At the top of the stairs follow the blood trail to your left and into a small building here. As you enter the building there will be a book on the table to your left, interact with this to learn that the first victim was a gardener.
Compassion will appear once again and you'll have solved the Bridge Murder, which leaves two more to figure out.
Murder two - Temple murder
Your first task for the second murder is to find the victim. To do this, head out of the building you're in and follow the quest marker to your left. It will take you past a fast travel beacon and through a set of doors into the Temple of Andraste.
In here, head to your left then up the tall set of stairs here. If you run into Venatori here, deal with them or run past them (they're not really important right now). Head past the courtyard into the Temple and follow the path to your right through the pillars.
Then follow the path around to your left until it brings you out to Andraste's Watch. Once out here, head over to the wooden platform to your right and you'll find the victim on here.
Interact with them and more demons will appear, this time the strongest one is Remorse but you can take them down the same way you did earlier.
Once you've defeated them, Compassion will appear by the victim. Speak to them and your next task will be to learn who they were. From the body, follow the blood trail down the steps and to the right.
Keep following the trail and it will bring you to a workbench on a slightly raised area near a Fen'Harel statue. Interact with the piece of paper on this desk to learn that the victim was a Scholar called Marcus.
This now leaves one more murder to solve.
Murder three - Market murder
To find the final murder victim we used the fast travel beacon just to the left of the marked murder location on the map (it made getting there much quicker):
From the beacon, head left and follow the path here until you find a set of big doors. In front of the doors you'll see more blood marks, follow these around to the left where you'll find the victim near the wall here. As soon as you get close, more demons will appear and the strong one this time is called Isolation. Take them out as you did with the previous sets.
Once the demons are down, speak to Compassion next to the body. From the body follow the blood trail forward and to the left. When it stops, jump over the ledge onto the wooden platform to your right and up the ladder here.
At the top of the ladder, head right and you'll find a scroll on the edge of a crate here. Read this to learn that the victim was an artist.
That's it - you'll now have solved all three murders and brought peace to Compassion!
