EA announces Spare Parts for PSN/XBLA
Co-operative robot trash planet game.
Electronic Arts has revealed its line-up for next week's E3 trade show, and while most of the games were known quantities, there was also word of a downloadable action-adventure called Spare Parts.
Developed by EA Bright Light, it's due out for PSN and Xbox Live Arcade this winter and sees robots Mar-T and Chip trying to rebuild their spaceship on a trash planet "before nefarious Lord Krung can dispatch his henchmen to destroy them". Kruuuuuuuung!
Players will need to gather upgradeable action parts, work as a duo and use various abilities to battle enemies including the evil Krofax, "hostile spider monkeys" and "even a Super Huge Mega Laser". Hurrah! A videogame that sounds like a videogame!
EA Bright Light is also currently working on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, which adopts a Gears of War-style cover shooter mechanic as Harry, Hermione and co. run around in the woods taking it to the Death Eaters.
