Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth finally comes to Monster Hunter World on PC this week

But only for a limited time.

Capcom has announced that the formidable Elder Dragon Kulve Taroth will finally be making its way to Monster Hunter World on PC this week, but only for a limited time.

Kulve Taroth (which initially came to Monster Hunter World on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 back in April) is a collaborative battle designed for up to 16 players at a time - that's four groups of four hunters in the same Gathering Hub session. Participants must be Hunter Rank 16, which requires completing the main campaign.

Each party can help progress the Special Investigation quest (called Banquet in the Earthen Hall) either by collecting tracks or by attacking the Kulve Taroth in order to break off different body parts before it leaves the area. Completing different objectives during the fight earns players points, with more points equating to greater rewards.

These rewards include new Relic weapons, and two new armour sets in the form of the Kulve Taroth α and Kulve Taroth β. The update also adds the Kulve Taroth Set α Palico equipment.

Hunters challenge the Kulve Taroth in a new area of the world known as The Caverns of El Dorado. Capcom describes these as "a peculiar network of caverns shaped and influenced both by the Everstream and the minerals that Kulve Taroth has collected over the years. Kulve Taroth's nesting ground-as yet undiscovered-is rumored to rest within the deepest region of the caverns, from which tremendous geothermal energies seem to emanate".

Monster Hunter World's Kulve Taroth quest will initially run on PC from Friday, November 2nd at 00:00am UTC until Thursday, November 15th at 11:59pm UTC. To participate, players will need the latest title update (revision number 154766), which will be available to download from tomorrow, October 30th, at 1pm.
