Europe gets date for PS3 Dual Shock
It's out this week, will cost GBP 40.
Sony has announced the DualShock 3 wireless rumble controller for PS3 will arrive in Europe on 4th July and cost GBP 39.99.
More than 28 million DualShock controllers have been sold since the first iteration appeared in 1998. Now, according to Sony, DualShock 3 is "the first choice for all gamers", except presumably those who own Xbox 360s or Wiis.
And have no fear, Sixaxis fans - "DualShock 3 retains the high-precision, high-response motion-sensitive aspects that have made Sixaxis so popular."
Apparently "almost all" future PS3 games will support the controller, and rumble functionality will also be released for older titles such as Resistance: Fall of Man, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
(Update: Or rather, those games already do, as do a number of others including GTA IV, Haze and Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection.)
