Everything revealed in Microsoft's Xbox Games Showcase

Halo Infinite! Fable! Obsidian! Everwild!

Microsoft's big Xbox Games Showcase has just wrapped up - and with it, our look at many of the exclusive games coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X from some of the company's biggest studios. Here's everything that was revealed.

It all kicked off with an extended gameplay look at Halo Infinite, which is set on an enormous ring and looks decidedly open-world. Infinite will launch this year with 60fps campaign gameplay, as it charts the next chapter of the Master Chief story.

Next up we got a look at a next-gen Forza Motorsport, in development at Turn 10 Studios seemingly just for Xbox Series X and PC, and not for the current Xbox One. It also won't make the Series X release date.

Rare's Everwild featured in a beautiful new trailer that still left us with a lot of questions about the game - and when we'll see it.

Gameplay of Microsoft's first-party projects was thin on the ground, but the announcements kept on coming. State of Decay 3 is in development at Undead Labs for release on Xbox Series X at some point in the future.

Obsidian stepped up to provide a showy tease for Avowed, its big first-person role-playing game that appears to be the project this studio has been wanting to make all along. It's set in the Pillars of Eternity world, and seems a long way off still.

Oh, and there was a quick look at The Outer Worlds' next DLC, which is due in September.

Closer to now, the Xbox-published Tell Me Why, from Life is Strange developer Dontnod, got an August release date for its first episode.

The show closed with a teaser for Playground Games' highly-anticipated Fable reboot, due for Xbox Series X and PC at some point.

Away from Microsoft's own studios, a new multiplayer offering for Tetris Effect was confirmed as an Xbox timed-exclusive, while Destiny 2 and upcoming expansion Beyond Light were confirmed for Xbox Game Pass.

As Dusk Falls, the first game from former Quantic Dream staff, was revealed as an intriguing and arty adventure story about two generations of characters colliding.

We got a deeper look at The Medium, from Observer developer Bloober, showing off its simultaneous dual-worlds gameplay. We also got a first trailer for Stalker 2 and a very brief tease for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, from the developer of Vermintide.

SteamWorld developer Image & Form unveiled a lovely action-adventure named The Gunk.

In pre-show announcements, Dragon Quest was confirmed as coming to Xbox for the first time in the shape of Dragon Quest 11 S Definitive Edition on 4th December. Xbox will also be one of various platforms to see the intriguing-looking Balan Wonderworld, the next game from Sonic creator Yuji Naka.
