Ex-Capcom boss starts new company
Inafune shows off Comcept business cards.
It looks like former Capcom R&D boss Keiji Inafune is about to resurface with his own new company.
According to Siliconera, Inafune has been handing out business cards for his new outfit, called Comcept.
One of these cards got into the hands of a Japanese securities analyst who then duly rushed home and tweeted about it.
There's no word yet on what he's got planned but give the man a chance - he only left Capcom in October. One thing's for sure though - any developers wanting to jump on board better be prepared to knuckle down for some serious toil.
A week after the Mega Man creator announced his departure from Capcom he let rip with a blistering attack on the Japanese game industry's culture of laziness and complacency.
"The really big wall that the Japanese game industry is hitting is the changing of its creators into salarymen," he explained.
"In short, it's like a communist state. Working as hard as you can is your own loss. Not working hard becomes more advantageous. But doesn't that get in the way of making games? You can't make good games by just taking it easy."
