Far Cry 4 developer is donating up to $100K to aid Nepal
The game was "heavily inspired by Nepal and its people."
Far Cry developer Ubisoft Montreal will match Red Cross pledges of up to $100K to aid Nepal following its 7.8 earthquake on Saturday.
"Having spent the last few years working on Far Cry 4, a game heavily inspired by Nepal and its people, it is with heavy hearts that the Far Cry family pulls together to raise money for the Canadian Red Cross, who are mobilising their traveling hospital team to Kathmandu to offer support and medical assistance," the developer stated on its Red Cross page.
"The Far Cry team will match donations up to the first $100,000. Thanks for your generosity and please, spread the word."
According to CNN, the death toll had risen above 5200 as of two hours ago.
So far the pledges have only reached $6425, but the promotion just started.
