Nintendo America boss Reggie Fils-Aime has promised to do a "much better job" at E3 this year.

"From Nintendo's perspective we always go into E3 with a very high bar, wanting to satisfy not only the core fans but also ourselves," Fils-Aime told GameTrailers.

"We're hoping to do a much better job this year," he added, mentioning the unnamed projects being created by the Zelda and Mario teams.

Nintendo disappointed the core audience at E3 last year by announcing just Wii Sports Resort, Animal Crossing Wii and GTA: Chinatown Wars. Even Miyamoto's animated demonstration of Wii Music was out of tune.

The result: an apology from the Satoru Iwata himself, although he denied ignoring core Wii owners on purpose.

Must try harder.
