Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn reaches over 2 million registered accounts
Not too shabby for a game that was once a disaster.
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn, Square Enix's enhanced version of its once lackluster MMO, has crested 2 million registered accounts, the publisher has announced.
The renovated MMO far exceeded Square Enix's expectations when it acquired 1.5 million subscriptions last November, only two months after it had launched for PC and PS3.
Just this week the game launched on PS4, so expect that milestone to see another boost shortly.
Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn really helped dig Square Enix out of a pickle following its 13.7bn yen (around £83m) loss last financial year.
