A new trailer for X-Men Destiny has gone live, offering a first glimpse of what to expect from Silicon Knights' forthcoming superhero tie-in.

And when we say glimpse, we mean it. We counted about 1.63 seconds of actual in-game footage in the new teaser, hosted over on GameTrailers.

Very little is known about the game other than it'll ship on multiple consoles next autumn, it's written by Hellblazer/X-Men: Legacy scribe Mike Carey and Too Human/Eternal Darkness studio Silicon Knights are developing.

One thing we can be fairly sure of though, it'll surely be better than the last game based on the franchise – 2009's dismal X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
