Five of the Best: Presidents

The make-believe kind.

The El Presidente protagonist character from the Tropico series of games. They're white-skinned with fairly bushy black beard, and they have aviator sunglasses and a military dress suit and hat on. Behind them, a tropical paradise has skyscrapers and power plants on.

How naughty of us. Can we really do an article on the best presidents, now, in this political climate? Why of course, because we're only talking about fictional presidents in games! And presidents, as the heads of state or the heads of powerful organisations, have long featured in games. Some famous presidents from real-life have even been recreated in Call of Duty, to give us the thrill of being involved in the most clandestine 'this goes right to the top' missions. In some senses, they are the ultimate quest givers. The question is, which of these fictional figureheads, these in-game presidents, have been the best?
