Forza Horizon 4 is getting James Bond DLC
00 Devon.
With its quintessentially British houses, Scottish moors and autumnal scenes, Forza Horizon 4 was already feeling very Bond - and now the connection is official.
Microsoft has announced a new Forza Horizon 4 add-on pack which will bring 10 of Bond's most iconic cars to the game. Although no price has been announced, we do know the Best of Bond Car Pack will be available from day one - so you can jump straight into a Jaguar C-X75 right from the get-go.
In terms of the car list, there's plenty of Aston Martins (what else), ranging from the classic 1964 DB5 to the newer 2015 DB10. There's even that sleek silver 1999 BMW Z8 from The World is Not Enough. Unfortunately none of these cars come with Daniel Craig included.
Although you seemingly can't use any Bond gadgets mid-race (think how useful those tyre-slashing hubcaps would be), it does seem you'll be able to view them in Forzavista mode. The 1964 Aston Martin DB5 will have a "revolving number plate and extendable bumper rams", while the 1977 Lotus Espirit S1 will have a body kit option "inspired by the 'Wet Nellie' submarine vehicle from The Spy Who Loved Me". Again, this would have been useful for when I inevitably crash into a Scottish loch.
To help get players into the 007 mindset, the car pack also comes with three Bond outfits, and six quick chat phrases with some of Bond's sleekest lines.
Forza Horizon 4's demo went live yesterday and is now available on the Xbox store for both PC and Xbox. The game's full release is due 2nd October, or 28th September for those who buy the Ultimate Edition. As the day one car pack, the Bond DLC will be immediately playable for those with early access to the game as part of the Ultimate Edition.
Perhaps best of all, Forza Horizon 4 has also gone gold, and will be available on the Xbox game pass. With such stirring visuals, it's sure to really shake up the racing games world.
