Gears 3 Horde Command DLC "temporarily delayed"
UPDATE: It's now ready to download.
UPDATE: The Horde Command Pack is now ready for download, according to a Tweet from Epic exec Mark Rein.
ORIGINAL STORY:The inaugural lump of Gears of War 3 DLC, the Horde Command Pack, has been delayed.
It had been due for release today.
"The scheduled Horde Command Pack release for Gears of War 3 is temporarily delayed due to a technical issue," wrote Epic Games community manager "raczilla" on the company's forum.
"We apologise to those of you who are anxiously awaiting to play. We know this is disappointing news as we've seen a lot of posts today showing excitement for this content. We have folks working around the clock to resolve this issue ASAP so you can all play and enjoy the Command Pack."
Subsequent posts by "raczilla" shed no light on a new release date for the Horde Command Pack.
"I understand the frustration," wrote "raczilla", "but it would be unfair to communicate an ETA that we don't have. Better to give you solid information when we know more."
The Horde Command Pack sports three maps, four fortification upgrades, three characters and a pair of weapon skins.
Solus, the Horde Command Pack costs 800 Microsoft Points. It's free, however, if you purchase the 2400 MSP Gears of War 3 Season Pass.
DLC Raam's Shadow will follow the Horde Command Pack on 13th December. This is campaign/story DLC based around a pre-Gears of War 1 scenario. In it, you can play as Locust commander General Raam, the boss of Gears of War 1.
