God of War: Ghost of Sparta details
Ready At Dawn has another stab.
Curious to learn more about the new PSP God of War game revealed last night? Well, Sony's fact sheet bundle can sort you out. God of War: Ghost of Sparta is developed by Ready At Dawn and due out this autumn.
It's a single-player affair, as with its PSP predecessor Chains of Olympus, and picks up after the end of the first PS2 God of War game, with Kratos installed as Mount Olympus' new God of War but still plagued by nightmares.
To sort that out, he embarks on a new journey to "reveal the origins of lost worlds and answer long-awaited questions about his dark past" - and to kill loads of enemies, obviously.
Along the way he will be able to use his famous Blades of Athena, as well as a spear and shield, and the combat system has been updated to allow him to "pummel enemies to the ground as well as throw them", and perform air-to-air attacks.
There's also a new "augmented death system" with unique weapon and magic-specific death animations, the bosses should be "exponentially" bigger, and the game can display twice the number of enemies as Chains.
