Godfather sequel chatter
EA Games man mentions it.
Electronic Arts' Frank Gibeau has dropped the biggest hint yet that a sequel to The Godfather is in development by, er, referring to a sequel to The Godfather.
Gamasutra reports that during a shareholder meeting this week, Gibeau - head of EA Games - responded to a question about mature game thus: "We make products like Godfather 2, Army of Two, Crysis - a lot of products that appeal to that older customer."
Unfortunately, an EA UK representative wasn't around this morning to help us figure out whether Gibeau's tongue slipped or whether he simply misspoke, but a Godfather sequel would hardly be surprising if it was the former - earlier this year analysts Nollenberger Capital Partners claimed: "Godfather 2 is also in development currently, though timing is unknown."
