Google Chromecast launches in the UK today, priced £30
Currys and PC World first to stock it in-store.
Google's Chromecast streaming dongle launches in the UK today, and costs £30.
Currys and PC World stores will be the first bricks and mortar shops to sell the gadget, the jointly-run retailer has announced.
Stock will then filter through to other chains "from the end of April".
You can also buy it online from Amazon. Curry's web listing for the device is currently set to 'sold out'.
Google's HDMI dongle plugs into your TV and streams certain content from your Android or iOS devices. You can also mirror whatever you're browsing in Google Chrome on a PC, including browser-based games.
Chromecast can also stream services such as YouTube, Netflix and BBC iPlayer, as well as any media content you've bought through Google Play.
Notable omissions at present include Amazon Prime Instant Video (aka Lovefilm), 4OD and ITV Player, although more will launch in time.
