Bionic Command developer Grin is working on turning Hollywood film Wanted into a game.

This is the movie that has taken over USD 192 million since release and stars Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy.

"From the time we read the script and saw the film's pre-visual material, it was clear that Wanted was a powerful property - one that was well poised to deliver an engaging gaming experience," said Bill Kispert from Universal.

Wanted tells the story of a boring office worker who becomes a super action hero by unlocking his dormant powers through an ancient society called The Fraternity. It has lots of special effects in and bullets that can be curled like footballs through the air and people sliding under cars, that sort of thing.

Movie-to-game expert Pete Wanat will work with Grin as executive producer, and brings experience from previous conversion projects The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay and Scarface: The World is Yours.

"The team at Grin has a proven track record of creating action games that push the envelope in terms of gameplay and combat," said Wanat.

Grin is currently hard at work reinventing Bionic Commando for Capcom on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. It looks quite good, too.
