Harmonix sorting PS3 problems
Rock Band dev says it's listening.
Harmonix says it's working hard to resolve problems with the PS3 version of Rock Band - including, by the sound of it, the lack of compatibility with Guitar Hero guitars.
"Some of you have contacted us about the PS3 edition of Rock Band - from issues with guitar compatibility to frustration that stand-alone guitars and drums for Rock Band have not yet hit stores," the developer said in a statement issued to the press on Wednesday.
"Please know that these issues have our full attention. We are listening and we read everything that is posted on our forums. We are committed to providing the best play experience possible and working hard to ensure that we solve these problems as soon as possible. We promise to keep you updated and, in the meantime, we thank you for your patience."
The developer also said that problems with the new guitar peripherals had been "identified and fixed" in "all subsequent production runs". The first ones apparently had "an imperfection with the strum bar", which led to some problems. Anyone in the US having difficulty is advised to visit the official website to arrange a replacement.
