Here's our first look at the new Sly Cooper TV series
For 6-10 year olds? Really?
A Sly Cooper animated series will debut next year.
While we've known for some time that Sony had plans to develop the game for the big screen, the expected 2016 delivery window came and went with no further comment on what had happened to the project.
A listing on PGS Entertainment, however, now confirms that the franchise - coming courtesy of Technicolor Animation Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment - is instead now coming to TV, with 52 11-minute shows scheduled to broadcast between July 2019 and October 2020.
A teaser trailer is available on the PGS Entertainment website - we can't embed it, so go check it out. It's okay, I'll wait until you're done.
"Sly Cooper follows the adventures of an irresistibly charismatic raccoon, a modern-day Robin Hood, who restores justice to his city one theft at a time," teases the description. "Mixing humor, action, and a remarkable cast of characters, Sly Cooper promises to be an unforgettable series."
PGS describes the comedy and adventure show as gender neutral, and targeted towards a 6-10 years old audience.
Episodes 1-26 are expected to debut in October 2019, with the latter 27-52 shows slated for a July 2020 release.
