Hudson Wii duo from Konami
Fishing and sports.
Konami has lined up a pair of Hudson's Wii games for release in Europe in the first half of 2008 - Fishing Master and Sports Island.
Fishing Master (announced earlier this year) does roughly what it says on the tackle-box - allowing you to angle for over 100 species of fish using a control system based on the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
The Wiimote is used to cast the line, aiming for silhouettes of fish in the game's lakes, and then the Nunchuk reels in your catch by rotating the analogue stick - providing you can stop the fish breaking away as it thrashes on the line.
That should be with us in Q1 2008 according to Konami, and you can check out screenshots in our Fishing Master gallery.
Sports Island, meanwhile, offers a number of "Adidas-endorsed" versions beach volleyball, football, badminton, basketball, curling, figure skating, archery, moto cross, snowboarding and kart racing.
All of these use the Wiimote and Nunchuk, too, with the Wiimote used to hit the ball in volleyball, for instance, and twisted to manoeuvre down the slopes in snowboarding.
Sports Island offers four-player support for each event, and will be released in Q2 2008.
