Kojima doesn't have enough staff to make Zone of the Enders 3
But Fox Engine could help.
Kojima Productions does not currently have enough staff to make Zone of the Enders 3, Hideo Kojima has said.
But the Japanese developer wants to create the much-desired sequel - and suggested he could use the Fox Engine to do so.
"We want to make that game as well, the only thing is that we don't have staff who are able to work on that game," Kojima told GamerFitNation at the Spike Video Game Awards.
"We have an environment where we could work on it using the Fox Engine. If we had staff available to work on that game, we would like to."
Fox Engine is Kojima Productions' new game engine, announced during Konami's E3 showcase.
It's been in the works since Kojima Productions finished work on 2008 PlayStation 3 exclusive Metal Gear Solid 4, and will facilitate "shortened development time" for "multiplatform" titles. Kojima wants the engine to be "the best in the world".
Kojima will present at E3 2012 to discuss his plans in greater details.
In the meantime, Kojima Productions is working on HD ports of the existing Zone of the Enders games - still without a release date. Kojima promised "it won't take that long" to complete them.
