Battlegrounds was - and still is - playable in first-person on the game's standard servers. But now there are first-person only servers as well, and they make all the difference. Part turn-based strategy game about conquering an Aztec empire, and part real-time hack-and-slash 2D action, Aztez showed a lot of promise. Now, 4.5 years on, Aztez has finally come to fruition and launched on PC, Mac and Linux.

New dev Little Orbit is "starting from scratch" on the troubled project.
Development of crowdfunded RPG Unsung Story went on hiatus last year after developer Playdek announced that it didn't have the funds to finish the game and would have to put it on the backburner, and now it's found a solution by handing it off to a different team, Little Orbit.

ArenaNet has unveiled the second expansion for Guild Wars 2, Path of Fire, due 22nd September with a free preview event next weekend open to everyone, even non-players. The expansion will be standalone so you don't need to own previous expansion Heart of Thorns nor the base Guild Wars 2 game in order to play it. Standalone, Guild Wars 2: Path of Fire is £26 with a level 80 (top level) boost.

When Overcooked released last year it surprised everyone with its addictive cooperative gameplay and cooking antics - and it scooped a Eurogamer Recommended review. It's a great little game - one that felt like a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch. Now, almost one year after its original launch date, Overcooked has finally made its way to Nintendo's console hybrid platform. Unfortunately, the end results are - dare we say it - somewhat undercooked.
