  3. A classic arcade name just got a surprise revival on Switch

Is the name Psikyo familiar at all? It's fine if not - it's been well over a decade since the Kyoto developer was a going concern, and even in its heyday its appeal was limited by its chosen genre; fine-tuned shmups that were a mainstay in Japanese arcades in the late 90s. The Psikyo name gets my heart aflutter, though, thanks to a handful of admirable Dreamcast ports of some of its greats. Gunbird 2! Zero Gunner 2! Cannon Spike!

  4. How a Syrian refugee's story became a JRPG

Feature | How a Syrian refugee's story became a JRPG

"Humour is always part of disaster."

It could be any other throwback 16-bit adventure. I'm standing near low trees on the far side of a corrugated iron shack, waiting for a guard to turn around so I can break for the road at the top of the screen. 8. Prey's new PS4 Pro support is welcome - but the added stutter isn't

Digital Foundry | Prey's new PS4 Pro support is welcome - but the added stutter isn't

UPDATE: Patch 1.05 resolves all issues for PlayStation owners.

UPDATE 4/8/17 10:30am: It's taken three months to comprehensively sort the issues, but we can finally recommend the PlayStation 4 version of Bethesda's excellent Prey with no reservations. The title launched with no PS4 Pro support and poor controller response (measured by latency specialist Nigel Woodall at a disappointing 217ms). Subsequent patches attempted to resolve the input lag issues, but introduced intrusive stutter and screen-tearing issues in the process. June's patch added PlayStation 4 Pro support, but the poor consistency in performance remained.
