BioShock PS3, Saints Row 2, PSP-3000.
In deference to Popbitch, which we read on the train home last night after Ellie won the games industry, which major UK publisher's hotel room floor did Eurogamer's Rob "Bertie" Purchese wake up on at 8am this morning with sandpaper for a tongue and a head full of angry? He hasn't been seen since, but you'll be pleased to hear he's alive and well. Certainly more pleased than I was - the dirty stop-out.

Review | Golden Axe: Beast Rider
Pony.
Over the last year or so, it seems as if many publishers have finally got a handle on the retro revival. Namco gave us Pac-Man Championship Edition and Galaga Legions, both classic in style yet undeniably modern in construction. Capcom brought back a slew of their 1980s classics, with Commando, 1942, Bionic Commando and Mega Man all receiving good to great retro-styled modern sequels. And here comes SEGA - having got it so right with After Burner on the PSP - once again flailing around and looking hopelessly out of touch.

Interview | Suda 51
"One day, I want to be able to throw pants."
We're told that Suda 51 - real name Goichi Suda, the eccentric head of the eccentric Grasshopper Manufacture studio - really likes interviews. We're told that spending a day sitting in a cubicle in the Business Meeting Area of the Tokyo Game Show, answering the same questions over and again, will be the highlight of his week. Uncharitably, we thought this made him an egomaniac. As it turns out, it's just because he's really nice.

Review | Diablo III
The devil makes work for clicking hands to do.
BlizzCon 2008: thousands of people travelled from all around the world and crammed themselves into a convention hall in sun-baked California. Many were hoping to be thrilled by the opening ceremony where Blizzard traditionally make a highly anticipated, but not always unexpected, announcement. The ceremony went by without any new games or projects unveiled, yet these dedicated fans walked away all the more excited - Diablo III has a new class, the Wizard, and the crowd at BlizzCon would be the first to play it. Such is the furore this game inspires in fans that any chance to get hands-on more than justifies their trip.
