Review | Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction
So much worse than the title suggests.
GoldenEye 007. Super Mario Kart. Golden Sun. Grand Theft Auto 3. All these games to some extent were sleeper hits. Sneaking in the backdoor of gaming legend with comparatively slight preview fanfare, these titles grew up to be classics against a modest, secretive or diminutive showing. You could argue these type of games end up being the most valued. Relatively little hype, little attention, mildly large risk; infinitely large reward. And now, Conspiracy is the latest to be listed among - gah, who are we kidding?

Feature | What's New? (New releases roundup)
Eurogamer: incompatible with 3, but what of 7?
Earlier this week, as we fiddled around with our new mobile enterprise, it became apparent that Eurogamer is currently incompatible with "3". This is worrying news. Our industry-leading support of other numbers, most notably "8", has been widely discussed. Which is why yours truly felt it important to clarify this morning that we will be supporting "Killer 7" from Capcom. We just haven't had any bloody time to play it yet, what with terrorism, holidays away from terrorism, waiting for the TV to shut up about terrorism, and helping a never-ending procession of friends move to London to live closer to my 2.5-metre-across projected TV image of terrorism. Ellie and Tom throw on leather and punch through Rockstar's latest.
Rather like books-of-films, games-of-films are often meant to give players a way to relive or complement their experiences on the silver screen in an entertaining way. In the case of The Warriors, however, the film came out in 1979 and now Rockstar's making a game of it. It's due to be reissued on DVD around the time of the game's release, currently set for late October, but realistically the audience for the game is likely to be split between long-term fans of the film and people who just want to kick the crap out of things. Hence Rockstar's decision to remake key film scenes in-game - something that it seems to have done very capably.
