    Valkyrie Studios (developers of Septerra Core) is currently in the process of developing several new game concepts, and GA-Source has the latest details - including new concept sketches, renders and paintings. Ever since the completion of their RPG, Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator, Valkyrie Studios has been working on their next titles. Valkyrie is working on proposals for several different genres and platforms. Some could take the Septerra Core engine to the next level. As well as fixing a number of bugs and hardware issues with the original game, it also adds shadows, more realistic braking, and improved net play.     Robert Duffy, programmer at id Software updated his .plan stating that a new Quake III: Arena point release (1.16) is out now. This release contains the original player models done way back when for Xian, Carmack, Hellrot, Paul Jaquays, Willits, and Brandon James ( now at Rogue ).     I noticed over at the Shack that Fox Interactive have announced an upcoming third-person action/adventure game based on the popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer show. The game is going to be developed by The Collective, who are also developing the upcoming Unreal engine powered third-person shooter/action game, Deep Space Nine: The Fallen. This upcoming Buffy game is slated for a fall 2000 release. Update : John has let us know that GA-Source have put up the first screenshots of this recently announced 3D action/adventure game. Update II : Even more screenshots at GA-Source, Fox Interactive sent them two more "very impressive" screenshots of the game in-action.

They got openings for 3D Animator/modeler's, Concept/storyboard artist's and 2D skin artist's.     Raven Software's lead programmer, Rick Johnson updated his .plan stating that Soldier of Fortune have gone gold, unofficially. This means that the head of QA (Quality Assurance) has to sign off on the paper work today to make it official, but they are done. Expect this Quake II engine powered first-person shooter to pop up on the shelves very soon. Update : The game has gone gold officially now, this was confirmed by Activision. Thanks Gone Gold.com.

    The lucky chaps over at GA-RPG have gotten their hands on a new Vampire: The Masquerade Quick Time (12Mb) featuring actual in-game footage and demonstrations of character creation on the Maya API. I assume the server is pretty swamped at the moment as I'm getting a slow speed but just keep trying.
