On the day that Rush reaches cinemas in the UK, Codemasters has announced that the Ferrari 312 T2 that stars in the film at the hands of Daniel Bruhl's take on Niki Lauda is to feature in F1 2013.

The Ferrari 312T was designed by Mauro Forghieri and took Lauda to the driver's championship and gave Ferrari the constructor's crown upon its debut in 1975. It was somewhat less successful the following year, though the season-long duel between Hunt and Lauda that's at the centre of Ron Howard's new film has granted it legendary status.

The Ferrari 312 T2 is available to all players of F1 2013 who are registered to RaceNet, and the game itself is out for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on October 4.
