Mario Rabbids Challenge 1-3 Quantum Leap solution

How to make the seemingly impossible end goal in a single turn.

Challenge 1-3 Quantum Leap in Mario Rabbids has a real teaser in the early-game - how do you reach the goal when not a single character seemingly can't get close? We'll explain how.

Remember, if you want to unlock this and other Mario Rabbids Challenges in World 1 you must have defeated Rabbid Kong first.

Mario Rabbids Challenge 1-3 Quantum Leap explained

Difficulty: Normal
Win Condition: Reach the Goal
Turn Limit: 1
Reward: 150 Coins, 2 Power Orbs

The aim is simple - have a single character reach the end goal. Your team is split apart across a map, with no way of reaching one another, or the goal in the distance.

You also have two Smashers next to one character, and it's these two that are the key to completing the challenge.

It's worth this is a Challenge you cannot brute force by waiting until your party is more powerful later in the game, and instead requires the right positioning to succeed.

If anything, having a powerful team is probably a disadvantage - you have to make a single shot, and as long as that doesn't trigger a status effect or kill the Smasher, the plan will unfold without a hitch.

We used Mario, Rabbid Peach and Luigi in our team for this encounter, but whoever your team is doesn't matter.

First, switch character from Mario to the character down the path nearby (Rabbid Peach in our case). Move that character towards the Smashers, and shoot at the one furthest from the goal.

Doing so will cause the Smasher to move toward that character, placing the two Smashers closer together, forming a line towards the end goal.

Switch back to Mario and move Mario between the two Smashers, and attack the one that just moved (the one furthest from the goal). Doing so will cause it to attack, bouncing Mario over the other Smasher.

End your turn. The other Smasher will now attack Mario, simply because he is the closest character, bouncing him over the river and into the end goal.

Job done!

This is a challenge about lining up enemies in the right places and making use of their attacks to get where you want.

In theory, you could use these same tactics to move your party round the battlefield without the help of other characters, which is something to possibly keep in mind in future.
