Minecraft has smashed 120m copies milestone
55m monthly players - and growing.
Minecraft continues to be an astonishing success - the sandbox game king has now sold more than 121m copies across all platforms.
55 million people now play every month - that's an increase of 15m from the last tally in June 2016.
Minecraft has also shifted another 21m copies since then, too. It must be the launch of the game's Wii U version.
Microsoft owns Minecraft but continues to support its development across an ever-growing list of platforms - many of them direct competitors to Xbox.
The strategy is clearly paying off, however, and last year the game's console versions only became more profitable via an array of mini-game add-ons.
Ahead of Minecraft, only Tetris now claims to have ever sold more copies.
