Miyamoto mentions new hardware
Also, new MotionPlus game.
Shigeru Miyamoto has confirmed that Nintendo is developing new gaming hardware.
The legendary designer mentioned that a new console is on the way when accepting a prize and the Japan Media Arts Festival at the weekend, according to Andriasang (translated from 4gamer).
Miyamoto offered no further specifics. It's not uncommon for Nintendo executives to reassure fans and investors that it's working on new machines, while talk of a high-definition Wii and motion-sensing DS has been doing the rounds recently, although company chief Satoru Iwata has distanced himself from both.
Meanwhile, the father of Mario also mentioned that he's working on a new game for the Wii's MotionPlus peripheral. Although Wii Sports Resort was a hit last year, MotionPlus games are still few and far between, with not much to look forward to beyond Red Steel 2 and the next Zelda, which may not even be released this year.
