New Bugs and Fish in March: Everything arriving and leaving this month in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Golden Trouts are swimming back into New Horizons!

March in Animal Crossing: New Horizons sees a variety of bugs, fish and sea creatures arrive on your island. Unlike February, you can expect to see a substantial change in your island's wildlife, which will continue in April.

March also marks the one year anniversary of Animal Crossing: New Horizons' release and we've now come full circle in the bug and fish appearances. This means it's the perfect time to keep an eye out for any creatures you might have missed last year.

If you catch every bug and fish in New Horizons, you'll not only complete two Museum exhibits, but unlock both the Golden Fishing Rod and Golden Net DIY recipes.

Below you'll discover exactly which creatures are both arriving and leaving your island in March, as the Critterpedia only lists this information once you've caught a creature.

Animal Crossing bugs, fish and sea creatures leaving in March

You can expect to see a number of creatures leave your island every month in New Horizons. If you don't catch one of these creatures before it leaves, you may find yourself waiting a number of months for its return.

We recommend catching these departing creatures at the beginning of the month to avoid having to rush about your island in the final week of the month.

The Sea Butterfly will depart from the Northern hemisphere till December.
