New CoD3 maps available
Old combined with new.
The Bravo Map Pack for Call of Duty 3 is now available to download from Xbox Live.
It will cost you 800 points and adds five new multiplayer maps to the game. Of these, three will be completely new, while two will be revamps of Call of Duty PC favourites.
The new maps will see you taking over a hilltop abbey in Aller Haunt, stealthily ambushing your enemies along the Seine River, and engaging in a bit of close-range fighting in Rimling's narrow alleyways and canals.
Gare Central, on the other hand, is adapted from the Depot map in the PC version of Call of Duty, and Marseilles is a huge map of a ruined town inspired by Call of Duty: United Offensive on PC.
The download is around 950 MB, so it could take a while to complete. And if you're not sure on whether to shell out the money, you can always look for the trailer demonstrating the maps on Live Marketplace.
Activision recently confirmed that the fourth game in the Call of Duty series would appear on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Unlike the previous instalments it will take place in current times, hence the name Modern Warfare, and it will make use of all the technical garb and coordinated attacks unheard of back in World War II.
Developer of the third game, Treyarch, will be replaced by original team Infinity Ward, and you can get a load of how it's looking on Eurogamer TV.
