Ubisoft has delayed Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier until "early 2011". It was originally down for autumn.

"Yes, Ghost Recon Future Soldier has been delayed to early 2011," tweeted Kimi Matsuzaki, senior community developer for the game. "It's good, we have more polish time."

"About the GRFS beta," she added. "I have no confirmation on whether it, too, is delayed. Personally, I'd anticipate it, but don't take this as fact!"

Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot told investors during an earnings call last night that GRFS had been moved to avoid a "very competitive environment" this Christmas. He added that the extra development time was a plus.
